Louise A. Nolette, 66

LEWISTON - Louise A. Nolette, age 66, a resident of Fayette Road in Livermore Falls, died Friday, June 11 at St. Mary’s Hospital following a short illness.

She was born on September 4, 1937 in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Pierre and Carmelle A. Labine Castonguay. She was a 1955 graduate of Livermore Falls High School.

on July 18, 1959 she married Gerard Nolette at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. The made their home and raised their family in Livermore Falls. Gerard passed away on October 4, 1992.

Louise had worked for many years at the parish of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, retiring in 1998 with over 29 years of service and later worked part-time for Maurice Moreau at IDS, American Express Financial in Jay. Louise was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella since 1986.

Louise will be remembered for her great sense of humor and always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed playing the piano, gardening and traveling.

She is survived by a son, Michael Nolette and his wife Lori of Readfield; three daughters, Lori Slovak and her husband Tom of Livermore Falls, Lisa Case and her husband Ted of Auburn, and Elaine Zappala and her husband Brian of Freeport; three brothers, Rene Castonguay of Jay, Paul Castonguay of Livermore and Roger Castonguay of Jay; eight sisters, Jacqueline Mercier of Livermore Falls, Theresa Maranda of Livermore, Lorraine Cote of Jay, Patricia Nadeau of Wayne, Anita Couture of Livermore Falls, Claudette Lemelin, of Livermore, Margaret Williamson of N. Y., and Pauline Dion of Jay; a brother-in-law, Raymond Henry of Livermore; three grandchildren, Victoria Nolette, Samanthan Slovak, and Brandon Case; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Ann Henry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 14 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. Visiting hours will be Sunday, June 13 at 1-3 p.m., at Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls. The Daughters of Isabella will meet at the funeral home on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Livermore Falls.
