The gravestone of François Clotiaux3344 gives his birth year as 1878 while other sources3342,3343,3235 give it as 2 Nov 1877. It appears that the gravestone is in error. Furthermore, his death certificate3345,3346 provides an age of 45 years at the time of death which would indicate a birth year of 1869. I have chosen to use his birth year as 1877 based on his baptismal record which iscontemporaneous with his birth.
